Mechanically Locked
Fasteners are positively engaged and mechanically locked until intentionally released.
Reduced Bolt/Nut Head Friction
Efficient torque-to-bolt tension conversion. A hardened face slip plane reduces bearing friction.
High friction lock systems induce bolt bearing/ head stress.
Audible & Tactile Tightening
Provides accurate preload control and tactile feedback with ratchet lock increments at 10 degrees.
Quick Release
The load & locking function are isolated from each other so the independent locking mechanism is quickly released with intentional action.
Force Indicator
The LAS+ system can incorporate a visual indicator for clamp force-tension verification and condition monitoring.
Works with Standard Hex Fasteners and Tooling

Ratchet-LockWasher (RLW) are sized according to bolt diameter and hex across flats dimension.
Bolt Sizes in Metric M12-M100 and Imperial 0.5”-4”.
The Active System includes Bellville disc springs in a protective cartridge. Larger sizes can include a Force Indicator.

Concept
A key advantage of the design is that the load and locking functions on the Ratchet-Lock Washer are isolated from each other. The bolt tensile force is transmitted directly through the washer body, whereas the locking function, which includes the ratchet teeth with the spring, operates independently.
